Rebuilding The Warrior Class: Texas Can Lead With Military Fitness Reform
The Texas Military Forces Health and Readiness Act (House Bill 4993) is a no-compromise legislative initiative to restore physical readiness, health, and resilience in the Texas Military Forces. It creates a comprehensive, accountable system to rebuild readiness: - Statewide Fitness Access: State-funded gym memberships and access to certified civilian trainers ensure Guardsmen across Texas can train consistently, regardless of location. Reinforcing National Readiness Priorities For too long, the physical and mental health of our service members has been allowed to rot — not because of funding shortages, but because of cowardice, complacency, and a lack of standards.

‘Scrubs’ Star Hits Back At Critics For Commenting On Her Health After Red Carpet
“Scrubs” star Eliza Coupe hit back at critics who expressed concern about her health following her recent red carpet appearance. I don’t know her personally so I can’t say for sure but I really hope she has family and friends who can check in on her because this is deeply concerning.” Another added, “Oh my goodness… Eliza Coupe looks so terrible these days, she was at some awards thing this week… I hope she heals from whatever is going on with her… see the second photo in 2021 to how she looked before, such a stunner, I hope she gets herself back to health.” While a third noted, “The photos of Eliza Coupe at ‘The Residence’ premier make me so sad, love ‘Happy Endings,’ one of the best sitcoms. Really hope she’s ok.” And a fourth person wrote, “I don’t like to comment on people’s bodies but that photo of Eliza Coupe is really upsetting.

‘FIT, Not FAT!’: Pete Hegseth Promises Standard Overhaul After ‘Unacceptable’ Troop Fitness Report
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth promised an overhaul of military physical fitness standards — and accountability to ensure that those standards are met — in an X post on Friday, declaring that on his watch, service members would be “FIT, not FAT!” Hegseth was responding to a Military Times report published Thursday revealing that the overwhelming majority — more than two-thirds — of reserve troops did not meet the prescribed weight standards. pic.twitter.com/KWMlFbS1c8 — Pete Hegseth (@PeteHegseth) April 25, 2025 Citing a new study released earlier this week by the American Security Project (ASP), The Military Times reported that an estimated 68% of National Guard and reserve troops would be classified as either overweight or obese. But because National Guard and reserve service members serve and train on a part time basis, enforcing physical fitness standards can be a much more complicated issue than when dealing with those serving in an active duty capacity — but the risks, in addition to the impacts on military readiness, remain high.

Med Schools Replace Medical Merit With Obesity Denial And DEI Doctrine, Watchdog Reports
The report, first obtained by National Review, found that 99% of America’s top medical schools now “mandated commitments to racial justice ideology,” while 89% “did so for gender ideology.” The report found 30% of examined schools mandate a form of “weight inclusivity,” instructing future doctors to avoid “fatphobia” despite the heaps of medical evidence establishing the correlation between obesity and health risks. At the University of Texas at Austin, medical students are taught to avoid stigmatizing language, replacing terms like “overweight” or “obese” with euphemisms such as “people with larger size,” while the University of Vermont’s program explicitly states that “weight is not an important indicator of health.” At the University of Connecticut, for example, medical students must pledge to “work actively to identify and mitigate my own biases” and “specifically work to dismantle policies that perpetuate inequities, exclusion, discrimination, and racism,” according to documents obtained by Speech First. Medical school faculty face similar ideological pressures, as the University of Illinois-Chicago’s faculty manual states that “all College of Medicine faculty, regardless of track or rank, are expected to demonstrate a commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” The report identifies multiple cases where medical professionals faced serious professional consequences for questioning these ideologies, including Dr. Allan M. Josephson, who was demoted and ultimately terminated from the University of Louisville after criticizing transitioning treatments for children during a 2017 Heritage Foundation panel despite a “stellar record,” according to the non-profit.

Patients’ Group Praises Trump For ‘Radical’ Health Care Executive Order
In February, Trump signed an executive order meant to require “hospitals and health plans to deliver meaningful price information to the American people.” The billboards feature graphics of Trump in a Superman-style outfit with the words “President Trump Delivers Healthcare Price Transparency” and “Trump To Give Americans Real Prices In Healthcare!” PatientsRightsAdvocate is an organization that seeks to improve the healthcare industry by promoting competition and efficiency. Soon, patients will be able to shop for the best quality of care at the best price.” In his executive order, Trump directed his administration to ensure that hospitals make “more meaningful price information available to patients to support a more competitive, innovative, affordable, and higher quality healthcare system.” Trump directed the secretaries of Treasury, Labor, and HHS to come up with guidance to enforce the transparency regulations. This is why we need healthcare price transparency, which President Trump is making a reality through his executive order.” Part of Trump’s executive actions include making hospitals state more explicitly how much specific tests and treatments will cost.

Gaslighting Women: It’s Time To Look Past Planned Parenthood’s Slick Marketing
As an organization, then, Planned Parenthood appears to care far less about helping women through their pregnancies or plans for adoption than they do about selling women abortions. Planned Parenthood marketing has successfully gaslit Americans, convincing them that desperate women would have no health care options without Planned Parenthood. Medicaid health insurance is accepted by most private health care providers, expanding the options for women, and also providing the prenatal services that Planned Parenthood rarely provides.

As Fetterman Defends Israel, Dems Suddenly Question His Mental Health
Pennsylvania Democrat Senator Bob Casey said he had visited 36 Pennsylvania counties and “didn’t hear a word about the question of his recovery from a stroke being an impediment to being either a good candidate or a good senator.” “There’s no great mystery about whether or how well Fetterman can speak: You can watch him do so regularly on television,” New York Magazine wrote in October 2022. No one is saying every controversial position (for example, his respectful relationship with Trump) stems from his mental health — but it’s become harder for them to tell which ones do.” Much of the New York Magazine article focuses on Fetterman’s tough pro-Israel stance, e.g., “It wasn’t until October 7 that it became clear Fetterman was the most outspoken Israel hawk in his party, offering constant and unconditional support for the military action in Gaza. Early on in the conflict, 16 of his former campaign staffers wrote a letter — anonymously — saying they found his full-throated support for Israel to be a ‘gutting betrayal.’” The article implied that Fetterman’s support for Israel affected his mind, writing, “The endless fights over Israel, which saw Fetterman draw further into himself, coincided with setbacks in his recovery regimen.” But Fetterman is not backing down.
