Leaked White House Document Reveals Monster Budget Cut Proposal For Federal Health Agencies
Leaked White House Document Reveals Monster Budget Cut Proposal For Federal Health Agencies The Trump administration could slash roughly one-third of the federal government’s bloated health budget, a leaked White House proposal shows. The proposal, already sent to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), aligns with HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “Make America Healthy Again” initiative and tech titan Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, sources say. While some of the agency’s work would be moved into new AHA centers, programs on gun violence, injury prevention, youth violence prevention, drowning, minority health and others would be eliminated entirely.

Health And Human Services Layoffs Begin Leaving Federal Workers Stunned
Health And Human Services Layoffs Begin Leaving Federal Workers Stunned The first stage of cuts to Health and Human Services (HHS) have begun with 10,000 employees slated to be fired in the coming weeks. Keep in mind that the HHS was partly involved in the funding of gain of function research by EcoHealth Alliance, which, in conjunction with projects run by Dr. Peter Daszak and Dr. Anthony Fauci at the NIH, reportedly led to the creation of human transmissible coronaviruses at the Wuhan Level 4 Virology Lab in China (ground zero for Covid). This money goes to support numerous programs that the majority of Americans voted against, including DEI programs, illegal immigrant programs and gender affirming care programs (gender based care for minors was indeed pursued by the HHS).

"Reducing Bureaucratic Sprawl": RFK Jr. Cuts 10,000 Jobs From Health & Human Services Department
"Reducing Bureaucratic Sprawl": RFK Jr. Cuts 10,000 Jobs From Health & Human Services Department Update: Moments ago, the Department of Health and Human Services released its plan to "save taxpayers $1.8 billion per year through a reduction in workforce of about 10,000 full-time employees as part of this latest transformation." WSJ provided more color on the cuts: As part of the 10,000 workers to be let go, the Trump administration plans to cut: 3,500 full-time employees from the Food and Drug Administration—or about 19% of the agency's workforce 2,400 employees from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—or about 18% of its workforce 1,200 employees from the National Institutes of Health—or about 6% of its workforce 300 employees from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services—or about 4% of its workforce. Jobless claims continue to rise across Virginia, DC, and Maryland - an area also known as "Deep Tristate" - where federal workers live and play with free money from taxpayers... Now the party is over: In addition to a softening labor market across the Deep Tristate, the D.C. housing market is being flooded with inventory (more MLS data here).

"The Country's Largest COVID Fraud": Somali Immigrants Allegedly Stole $250 Million From Child Nutrition Program
"The Country's Largest COVID Fraud": Somali Immigrants Allegedly Stole $250 Million From Child Nutrition Program Nearly all of the 70 people charged in a massive $250 million fraud case targeting federal child nutrition programs in Minnesota are Somali immigrants, according to the Washington Free Beacon. Between 2020 and 2022, Aimee Bock and a group of mostly Somali immigrants stole $250 million in federal nutrition funds through a scheme centered on the nonprofit Feeding Our Future. The group submitted fake meal counts and rosters to the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), which had loosened oversight under COVID “waivers.” In 2021 alone, Feeding Our Future funneled nearly $200 million to sham sites and vendors.

US Files False-Claim Complaint Against Health Insurance Companies, Brokers
US Files False-Claim Complaint Against Health Insurance Companies, Brokers Authored by T.J.Muscaro via The Epoch Times, The Department of Justice filed a complaint under the False Claims Act on May 1 against three health insurance companies and three large insurance brokerage organizations, alleging that hundreds of millions of dollars in kickbacks were paid by the insurance companies to the brokers in exchange for enrollments into their Medicare Advantage plans. “Rather than acting as unbiased stewards, the defendant brokers allegedly directed Medicare beneficiaries to the plans offered by insurers that paid brokers the most in kickbacks, regardless of the suitability of the MA plans for the beneficiaries,” the DOJ stated in its press release. “According to the complaint, the broker organizations incentivized their employees and agents to sell plans based on the insurers’ kickbacks, set up teams of insurance agents who could sell only those plans, and at times refused to sell MA plans of insurers who did not pay sufficient kickbacks.” DOJ also alleged that Humana and Aetna conspired with the brokers to discriminate against beneficiaries with disabilities deemed to be less profitable by allegedly threatening to withhold the kickbacks to the brokers.

The Wait Is The Price: Quiet Rationing Plagues Canadian Health Care
The Wait Is The Price: Quiet Rationing Plagues Canadian Health Care Authored by Vincent Geloso via the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), Last month, a video was trending on social media showing a Canadian woman explaining that she had a 13-month wait for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test to check for a brain tumor. None of this, however, detracts from the core truths: Canadian health care is not free and it has two prices: the taxes Canadians pay for it and the wait times that make Canadians pay in the form of service rationing. Adjusting for the age of population, Canada ranks (out of 30): #28 in doctors #24 in care beds #25 in MRI units #26 in CT scanners In one comparative study examining care outcomes—such as cancer treatment, patient safety, and procedural success—“Canada performed well on five indicators of clinical quality, but its results on the remaining six were rated as either average or poor.” This is despite, after again adjusting for population age structure, Canada ranking as the highest spender among a group of 30 comparable countries.

Fetterman Ex-Chief Of Staff Sounded Mental Health Alarm To Senator's Doctor
Fetterman Ex-Chief Of Staff Sounded Mental Health Alarm To Senator's Doctor Democratic Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman's former chief of staff was so alarmed by his mental health last year that he sounded an alarm with the Walter Reed doctor who treated him during his lengthy in-patient stay for severe depression in 2023. Conspiratorial thinking; megalomania (for example, he claims to be the most knowledgeable source on Israel and Gaza around but his sources are just what he reads in the news — he declines most briefings and never reads memos); high highs and low lows; long, rambling, repetitive and self centered monologues; lying in ways that are painfully, awkwardly obvious to everyone in the room.” "We do not know if he is taking his meds, and his behavior frequently suggests he is not," wrote Jentleson, and a staffer told New York there have been days when aides would make sure nobody from outside the office came into contact with him -- days when he was in "some sort of state" where he could potentially say some "really fucked-up shit to constituents." Fetterman had a near-fatal stroke on May 13, 2022 -- four days before the Pennsylvania primary -- and was left with communications impairments that were painfully evident on those occasions where his campaign dared put him in front of cameras and microphones: This is why Fetterman didn’t want to debate until after early voting was well under way — Gummi (@gummibear737) October 26, 2022 It’s brutal and embarrassing to watchpic.twitter.com/cd5DoWwLeL His depression hospitalization came just days after a lengthy and jarring New York Times profile that obliterated previous campaign assurances of Fetterman's fitness for Senate duty following his stroke.

USDA Secretary Details Astounding Spending On Nutrition Programs, Warns Chronic Diseases Will 'Bankrupt' America
USDA Secretary Details Astounding Spending On Nutrition Programs, Warns Chronic Diseases Will 'Bankrupt' America Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has issued a dire warning about the United States’ chronic disease crisis, declaring that poor nutrition is fueling a healthcare cost surge that threatens to bankrupt the nation. During a recent Cabinet meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Health Agencies Unveil New Nutrition Program To Further RFK Jr.'s Agenda Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) on May 9 said that they’re launching a new nutrition program that will help further the agenda of Health Secretary Robert F. Dr. Marty Makary, the FDA’s commissioner, said in a statement that “the FDA is focusing resources on the greatest contributors to the staggering health care crisis: chronic diseases.” The nutrition program mirrors a joint FDA–NIH program that has conducted research on tobacco, officials said.

The 'N' In SNAP Means Nutrition
The 'N' In SNAP Means Nutrition Authored by Star Parker via The Epoch Times, SNAP, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, is one of the nation’s largest welfare programs. Purchases of sweetened beverages, desserts, salty snacks, and candy exceed the program’s combined sales of fruits and vegetables by $9.4 billion a year.” FGA goes on to point out that the incidence of obesity is higher among food stamp recipients than among those not on food stamps at similar income levels and that food stamp participants are “more likely to be at very high or extremely high risk” of the many health problems that result from obesity. If SNAP funds permit purchase of foods that are unhealthy, or damage health, so it seems SNAP funds contribute to undermining the ability of recipients to work.

What The Biden Health Coverup Reveals About The Political Class
What The Biden Health Coverup Reveals About The Political Class Authored by Connor O'Keefe via the Mises Institute, Over the weekend, the Biden family announced that former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer. Also, the day before the announcement, Axios released the full recording of Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur, where the president’s difficulty answering straightforward questions was on full display at the same time his allies in the media were trying to claim he was “as sharp as a tack.” That convenient timing and speed at which some Biden allies, like David Axelrod, came out and said that talk of the former president’s decline should now be set aside because of this diagnosis led to some skepticism about the claim that the cancer was discovered only a few days ago. Whether the timing of Biden’s cancer announcement is a particularly disgusting part of the scheme to cover all this up or truly a complete coincidence, the last few days have made it clear that the damage the political class did to its credibility with its attempted cover-up of Joe Biden’s condition has not gone away.

Health Secretary Says Government Plans To Launch New Medical Journals
Health Secretary Says Government Plans To Launch New Medical Journals Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), Federal government scientists will likely be told to stop publishing in medical journals such as The Lancet, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a new podcast. Kennedy also referenced comments from former New England Journal of Medicine editor Marcia Angell, who wrote in 2009 that “it is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines.” The current publication system means researchers must pay to get their research published, and often involves pharmaceutical companies funding research that supports their products, Kennedy said. The Make America Healthy Again Commission, which is chaired by Kennedy, recently said in its first report that American children have been getting sicker in part because of “overmedicalization” that is driven by “‘corporate capture,’ in which industry interests dominate and distort scientific literature, legislative actions, academic institutions, regulatory agencies, medical journals, physician organizations, clinical guidelines, and the news media.” Assumptions about scientific literature, such as that the journals have confirmed the articles are accurate, are incorrect, the commission said.

Overlooked Chemicals In Food May Threaten Your Health
Overlooked Chemicals In Food May Threaten Your Health Authored by George Citroner via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), Scientists are sounding the alarm on what they call an overlooked threat to public health: synthetic chemicals from packaging and processing equipment contaminating the food supply—particularly ultra-processed items—and potentially fueling a rise in chronic health conditions. Fast food products face particularly high contamination levels because they encounter multiple packaging types throughout the production and service chain, including disposable containers, wrappers, and serving material, said Bryan Quoc Le, a food scientist and principal food consultant at Mendocino Food Consulting, in an interview with The Epoch Times. According to Muncke, all food packaging, processing equipment, and other food contact materials require adequate safety testing regarding migrating food contact chemicals and microplastics using modern testing methods.

Judge Orders Halt To Mass Layoffs At Dept. Of Health And Human Services
“With respect to the merits, the Court concludes the States have shown a likelihood of success on their claims that the HHS’s action was both arbitrary and capricious as well as contrary to law,” U.S. District Judge Melissa DuBose wrote in a 58-page ruling that granted a motion from states including New York for a preliminary injunction against HHS. '” In their response to the motion, government officials said that the Administrative Procedure Act claims suffered from deficiencies, including overlooking “the cost-saving value of actions like consolidating redundant departments.” DuBose, the judge, said that she reviewed the March directive and testimony delivered by Kennedy on the matter and did not find “a reasoned explanation” for the overhaul. “The Defendants have failed to demonstrate how the workforce terminations and restructurings made the subagencies more efficient, saved taxpayer dollars, or aligned with HHS’s priority of ‘ending America’s epidemic of chronic illness, by focusing on safe, wholesome food, clean water, and the elimination of environmental toxins.’” The judge ordered HHS to stop taking any action to implement the mass layoffs and restructuring announced by Kennedy.

Recruits With Heart Failure, Some Mental Health Issues Can't Join Military: Hegseth Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), People who want to join the military cannot do so if they have congestive heart failure or one of a dozen other conditions, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a memorandum released on July 22. “Severe underlying medical conditions introduce significant risks on the battlefield and threaten not only mission priorities, but also the health and safety of the affected individual and their fellow Service members.” Medical waivers allow applicants for military service to serve even though the applicants have a current or past condition that means they do not meet military standards. The full list of conditions newly ineligible for the waivers includes the following: - Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis - Current chronic supplemental oxygen use - Current congestive heart failure - Current epilepsy - Current treatment for schizophrenia - History of cystic fibrosis - History of receiving a solid organ transplant - History of paraphilic disorders, or disorders involving abnormal sexual interests or behaviors - Multiple sclerosis - Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or brittle bone disease - Suicidal attempt(s) within the previous 12 months - Thoughts or plans of killing another person within the previous 12 months - Trisomy 21, or Down syndrome The list of conditions for which secretaries of military departments are the only officials who can now approve waivers includes the following: - Current central nervous system shunts - Current ostomy - Eye missing or lack of vision in at least one eye - Foot missing - Hand missing, or bony portion of hand missing, excepting digits - History of chronic hepatic failure - History of chronic kidney disease requiring dialysis - History of corneal transplant - History of disorders with psychotic features, including schizophrenic disorders - History of myocardial infarction, or heart attacks - History of neurodegenerative disorders, such as disorders affecting the spinal cord - History of scleroderma, a disease that features tight skin and tissue - Having an implanted pacemaker or defibrillator The Department of Defense, in its most recently updated military standards from 2024, had said that a number of the conditions now deemed by Hegseth as ineligible for waivers could be eligible for waivers.

2026 Health Insurance Premiums Could See Largest Hike In 5 Years: Report Authored by Wesley Brown via The Epoch Times, The nation’s health-care marketplace insurers are seeking the largest premium increases in more than five years, ahead of the upcoming Affordable Care Act (ACA) enrollment period in November, according to an analysis by the Peterson Center on Healthcare and health policy nonprofit KFF. A June 18 KFF report stated that Optimum Choice of Maryland, Independent Health Benefits Corporation of New York, and UnitedHealthcare of New York are increasing premiums by 2.4 percent, 2.9 percent, and 3.6 percent, respectively, due to the impact of tariffs on pharmaceuticals. “Early indications are that individual market insurers will be increasing premiums in 2026 by more than they have since 2018, the last time policy uncertainty contributed to sharp premium increases,” the July 18 Peterson–KFF report states.

1 In 4 Non-Antibiotic Drugs Linked To Disrupted Gut Health
1 In 4 Non-Antibiotic Drugs Linked To Disrupted Gut Health Authored by George Citroner via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), While patients have long known that antibiotics can disrupt gut health, researchers have now discovered that seemingly harmless medications—including common allergy pills, antidepressants, and hormone treatments—may also pose a threat to the protective bacteria that keep dangerous pathogens at bay. Beneficial versus Harmful Bacteria Researchers found that pathogenic bacteria like Shigella flexneri and Escherichia coli—which are responsible for illnesses such as typhoid fever, diarrhea, and urinary tract infections—were more resistant to some drugs than were the beneficial gut bacteria. This study adds to previous research, also published in Nature, that reported 24 percent of the nonantibiotic drugs, including antivirals, antipsychotics, acid-reducing medications, chemotherapy drugs, and blood-pressure medications, inhibited the growth of at least one strain of gut bacteria commonly found in healthy people.

Why The Pesticide Liability Protection Act Threatens Our Food Supply & The Health Of A Nation
Why The Pesticide Liability Protection Act Threatens Our Food Supply & The Health Of A Nation Authored by Brooke Miller via The Brownstone Institute, As stewards of the land and providers of our nation’s food supply, farmers and ranchers carry a profound moral obligation - to produce the safest, healthiest, and most nutritious food on the planet. Why the Pesticide Liability Protection Act Is Unconstitutional The Pesticide Liability Protection Act fundamentally violates several core Constitutional principles that form the bedrock of American jurisprudence: Due Process Violations (5th and 14th Amendments): The Act deprives citizens of their fundamental right to seek redress in courts for injuries caused by defective or dangerous products. A Call for Leadership Therefore, I strongly urge all agricultural organizations—from cattlemen’s associations to farm bureaus, from organic growers to commodity groups—to go on record opposing the Pesticide Liability Protection Act.

Health Care System To Pay More Than $1 Million To Settle COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Case
Health Care System To Pay More Than $1 Million To Settle COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Case Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), A health care system that operates hospitals and clinics in two states has agreed to pay more than $1 million to settle allegations it discriminated against religious employees. The law states in part that an employer cannot “fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.” The settlement features back pay and damages to the workers and former workers who were affected. “Mercyhealth respects the religious beliefs and practices of its employees,” Kara Sankey, vice president of clinical operations and chief nursing officer for Mercyhealth, told The Epoch Times in an emailed statement Sankey said that the health system had lots of work to do during the COVID-19 pandemic, “while doing its best to protect the health and safety of its patients and employees and complying with federal rules requiring all hospital staff receive vaccinations.” She added: “The balancing of these critical goals could not be achieved without the dedication of our doctors and staff in times of significant personal risk, and Mercyhealth appreciates the work and assistance of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in resolving these remaining disputes.

Fake Students Plague California Community Colleges, Displacing Real Enrollees | ZeroHedge
Fake Students Plague California Community Colleges, Displacing Real Enrollees Authored by Kimberley Hayek via The Epoch Times, California’s community colleges are grappling with a surge in fraudulent enrollments, with 1.2 million fake applicants last year accounting for nearly 30 percent of new students, blocking real students from classes and costing millions in stolen financial aid, according to college officials. The problem, exacerbated by the shift to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, affects at least 90 of the state’s 116 campuses, said Marvin Martinez, chancellor of the Rancho Santiago Community College District, and Jeannie Kim, president of Santiago Canyon College. “What’s made this situation of fraudulent enrollment so different than anything that I’ve seen before in my 36 years in higher ed is that it’s happened in almost 80 percent now of the campuses.” At Santiago Canyon College, fall 2024 enrollment initially spiked 10 percent to 13 percent, Kim said, but faculty discovered many registrants were fraudulent.

New York Health Dept Defies FDA: Hochul's Emergency Order Pushes Off-Label COVID Shots For Kids As Young as 3
New York Health Dept Defies FDA: Hochul's Emergency Order Pushes Off-Label COVID Shots For Kids As Young as 3 Authored by Paul D. Thacker via The DisInformation Chronicle, New York’s department of public health released a series of odd guidances to pharmacists and physicians on Friday to promote COVID vaccines to children and adults for “off label” use, meaning in conflict with FDA’s official label. Signed by Governor Kathy Hochul, New York’s executive order 52 declares a “disaster in the state of New York due to federal actions related to vaccine access.” “A friend of mine said they’re contacting the nurse’s union,” a New York City nurse texted me, shortly after New York released their new COVID vaccine guidance. MICHELLE: At the top of the new guidance to physicians, it says, “We recommend vaccination..” It’s only on the bottom of the page that it says “federal actions may restrict eligibility.” That wording is very complicated and avoids stating, “The FDA recommends vaccination only for people over 64 etc…” By not naming the FDA or the FDA’s guidance, someone glancing over this could incorrectly believe that this is recommended by the FDA as well.

If Mental Health Experts Can't Identify Murderers, What's The Backup Plan?
There are things that we can do.” Yet, despite the fact that more than half of mass public shooters over the past 25 years were already under the care of mental health professionals, not a single one was identified as a danger to themselves or others. The Minneapolis school murderer admitted: “I am severely depressed and have been suicidal for years.” After the Nashville school shooting, police concluded the killer was “highly depressed and highly suicidal throughout her life.” Yet even with regular psychiatric care, experts found no signs of homicidal or suicidal intent. The Army psychiatrist who last saw Ivan Lopez (the second Fort Hood shooter) concluded there was no “sign of likely violence, either to himself or to others.” Aurora movie theater shooter James Holmes’ psychiatrist did warn University of Colorado officials about Holmes’ violent fantasies shortly before his attack, but even she dismissed the threat as insufficient for custody.

RFK Jr. Cannot Proceed With Overhaul Of Health Agencies, Court Rules
Cannot Proceed With Overhaul Of Health Agencies, Court Rules Authored by Melanie Sun via The Epoch Times, A federal appeals court on Sept. 17 declined to lift a preliminary injunction blocking a plan by Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to overhaul the department in line with the Trump administration’s policy priorities. They also pointed to potential harms their states would face if the executive action were allowed to proceed, saying their agencies would be unable to conduct sufficient laboratory testing or process critical health data needed to track infectious diseases and improve maternal and infant health outcomes. In its appeal, the HHS said that the lower court ruling should be set aside as the lawsuit was functionally identical to two earlier cases in which the U.S. Supreme Court lifted orders requiring it to reinstate employees let go en masse at other agencies by the administration.

California County Reinstates Mask Mandate In Certain Health Care Facilities
California County Reinstates Mask Mandate In Certain Health Care Facilities Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), A county health officer in California issued an order requiring masking in acute care facilities starting on Nov. 1, an order authorities attribute to rising seasonal respiratory illnesses. The mandate, which lasts until March 31 of next year, requires the use of face masks by people in acute care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, surgical and maternity centers, and infusion centers such as dialysis and chemotherapy centers, during respiratory virus season, not including patients. Usually, the CDC releases data on COVID-19 on Fridays, but a message on the agency’s websites says that because of the ongoing government shutdown, “certain federal government activities have ceased due to a lack of appropriated funding.” No COVID-19 or respiratory virus updates were released by the CDC on its websites on Oct. 3.

RFK Jr. Demands Med Schools Teach Nutrition: "Master The Language Of Prevention"
Demands Med Schools Teach Nutrition: "Master The Language Of Prevention" Authored by Madison Fossa via The College Fix, Arguing that preventable and chronic diseases can be ratcheted back through diet, nutritional health and lifestyle choices, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has directed medical programs to embed nutrition education into curricula and testing. The Health Department, along with the Department of Education, has tasked all medical programs across the nation with adding nutrition education into curricula, medical licensing exams, residency requirements, and board certification, according to a news release. A news release announcing the new requirements stated that while “recent Association of American Medical Colleges data shows that all U.S. medical schools claim to cover nutrition, other studies show the majority of medical students report receiving fewer than two hours of instruction.” “Research published in 2024 documents that 75% of U.S. medical schools have no required clinical nutrition classes, and only 14% of residency programs have a required nutrition curriculum.” “Future physicians must graduate prepared to prevent disease—by assessing risk, guiding lifestyle change, providing nutritional counseling, educating patients and addressing environmental factors, with nutrition education as the most proven and powerful tool,” Kennedy stated in his op-ed.
